Philadelphia announces Parking Ticket Amnesty

Do you have some unpaid parking tickets? You may be in luck!

City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell has announced Philadelphia's parking amnesty program, where anyone with unpaid tickets pre-dating 2013 can sign up to have the debt forgiven. Additionally, owners are given a 70 percent discount for towing/storage fees from 2014 or earlier. Here are some additional details:

All 2013-2017 tickets must be paid in full (or a 24 month payment plan, with 10% down, in place)

Drivers with outstanding tickets from the past 5 years can pay $50 to enroll in amnesty and will be forgiven for all pre-2013 violations

Anyone with outstanding tickets from the past 5 years can pay $50 to enroll in amnesty and will be forgiven of pre-2013 violations

Tows from the last 3 years are not covered.

Amnesty applicants must stay current with payment plan to remain in program, otherwise they will be back in debt.

Enrollment begins Thursday 3/1
