The World (& music World) continue mourn the loss of Chris Cornell, who took his life last week at the age of 52. At last night's Billboard Music Awards, Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons shared a brief tribute to Chris; many suggest the ceremony should have included more to honor Chris's memory. (I agree. Dan's tribute was nice, but Chris deserved much more)
"Although tonight is a time to celebrate the music and artist of the past year, it's also a time to recall a member of our community we lost this past week; Soundgarden and Audioslave's Chris Cornell was a true innovator, a musical architecture and a pioneer on the cutting edge of the Seattle grunge movement. He was a prolific songwriter, a legendary performer and a singer, who had a voice for the ages, and a Philanthropist, whose Chris & Vicky foundation helped so many children around the world."
Hate to complain, but somebody like Chris Cornell deserves way more than a moment of silence at a music award show. #BBMAs— Hopi Horvat (@hopihorvat) May 22, 2017
