Man carries injured woman to Love Run finish line

Congrats to everyone who ran Philly’s 4th Love Run yesterday! Did you run?

Big congrats to the overall winner, Darryl Brown of Elkins Park, Pa., who finished his 13.1 miles in 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 18 seconds at a pace of 5 minutes and 26 seconds per mile.

Also, congrats to the female winner, Philly’s Siobhan O’Connor, who finished in 1 hour, 24 minutes, and either 18 seconds at a pace of 6 minutes, 25 seconds per mile.  I’ll at myself on the back too, for my fastest half marathon to date, finishing in 2 hours, 6 minutes.

One of the coolest recap videos I’ve seen of the race came from Fox 29 who caught a woman approaching the finish line and just couldn’t keep it going, so some other runners stopped to help her along, including one man who literally carried her across the finish line! Check out the video below!

TEAMWORK! When two men saw a woman struggling to make it to the finish line during a half-marathon, they selflessly stopped to help her. Then a third came and carried her towards the finish! http://www.fox29.com/sports/244064726-story
