WINTER STORM WATCH: parts of Radio 104.5 Listening Area

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WATCH  for parts of the Radio 104.5 listening area in anticipation of snow moving in late tomorrow night into Thursday morning.

This storm is expected to most impact Bucks County, Chester County, Lehigh County, Montgomery County, Berks County, Northampton County in PA and Mercer County in New Jersey.  Philadelphia itself has not been included.

The heaviest snow is expected between 4am and 9am, accumulating at a rate around one inch per hour, just in time to mess up the morning commute.

The latest accumulation projections from 6ABC, are:

  • 4" to 8" in areas around and northwest of Philadelphia.
  • 2" to 4" just south of Wilmington into Dover and over across Millville to Atlantic City
  • Coating to 2" in far southern Kent County and Cape May County

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Rain is forecast to change to snow late on Wednesday night and the
snow is expected to continue into Thursday. Snowfall amounts may
range from 2 to 5 inches. There is high confidence in the
precipitation occurring and moderate confidence in the precipitation
type and snow amount forecast.


Spotter activation is likely for Wednesday night and Thursday.
