THIS is an awesome interview and if you're looking for something to do this weekend, you should ABSOLUTELY check out this show at The Kimmel Center. I'm super excited for it especially since the huge focus is mental health. I think we can all relate to a story like this and it was really cool getting to chat with creator/actress Molly Pope all about her new show. Here's the official press release below (and below that, you can check out our interview to find out more about the shows running this weekend)
Acclaimed actress and former Kimmel Center Theater Residence Molly Pope is making the world premiere of her witty, comedically-candid musical POLLY MOPE in the Kimmel Center’s SEI Innovation Studio, May 9-11.
Born out of Molly Pope’s time as a Kimmel Center Theater Residency artist in 2017, this performance is an intimate portrait of her personal experience with manic bipolar 2. Molly tackles the question “How Do You Get through the Night?” in this equally comedic and dramatic one-woman-show, which tells an intimate and poignant story about coping with humanity, mental health, and keeping yourself company. Pope will be backed by a live band.
