50th Anniversary Event for Woodstock is totally happening...

So... I tried to get Mumford & Sons to confirm whether or not a Woodstock 50th Anniversary event was taking place (they have actually been a rumored headliner), but the wouldn't spill any details during their Radio1045 Studio Session a few weeks ago!

Now more subtle confirmation has been revealed-

It looks like The Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival is scheduled for August 16th-18th — 50 years to the EXACT weekend of the original Woodstock which will take place at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York, the original festival grounds.

The event is a Live Nation-backed event ( so you know they mean business ;) )

According to the Festival's website:

The self-described “pan-generational cultural event” will feature “three days of memorable experiences” including “live performances from prominent and emerging artists spanning multiple genres and decades, and TED-style talks from leading futurists and retro-tech experts.”
