A camel, yes a camel, was on the side of a highway on 309 in Souderton (Montgomery CountY) today during the snowstorm, and videos and pictures were captured by many driversby!
So now we know the story thanks to NBC10:
The camel was headed to the Kimmel Center in Center City, according to a spokesperson for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. The spokesperson said the camel was supposed to arrive at the building's Broad Street entrance around 6 p.m. for a special event Thursday. However, due to weather conditions, the driver got stuck on the road and was forced to head back to a petting zoo.
NBC10 is working to confirm the name of the zoo that the camel came from.
