While we were sleeping, The National shared a new video including 30 seconds of (presumably) new music. (Because it would be realllly odd of them to feature 30 seconds of, say, new music from Nickelback)
The words "Sleep Well Beast" + "The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness" scroll along the bottom of the abstract visual.
The band also uploaded new artwork to their Facebook page, including a blue pentagon-shaped logo and new cover photo.
We know they've been working on music, back in August front man Matt Berninger told NME: “We’re playing together in a room, which means we’re jamming more, but it’s not a jam record at all – the songs are much more like weird, math-y, electronic-y stuff. A lot of songs are going in completely different directions. But that’s a really fun place to be. We’re in the middle of the wilderness, in a rainforest full of really fun noises.”
