Jersey Will Limit Number Of People In Stores, Everyone Should Wear Masks

As the number of cases and fatalities continue to grow in New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy announced new measures today to try and lower the spread of COVID-19.

Some of the updates from his briefing today:

  • New Jersey's primary election will now be moved to July 7th (moved from June 2)
  • The state will begin to limit the amount of people in stores
  • Workers AND customers should be wearing masks

The details on the latter:

Governor Murphy said Wednesday that he will sign an executive order limiting the number of people in stores to 50% of a store's usual capacity. In addition, employees and customers must wear face coverings in stores and must allow special shopping hours for at-risk groups.
