A Dorney Park Rollercoaster Named An International Landmark

The Eiffel Tower. The Roman Colosseum. The Leaning Tower Of Pisa. The Statue Of Liberty.

These are all examples of international landmarks. Now an area roller coaster will join those ranks! Ever ride the Thunderhawk roller coaster at nearby Dorney Park? Well, the 95 year old coaster is soon receiving a plaque recognizing it as an international landmark!

This is a great honor for the coaster which is the fourth-oldest running wooden rollercoaster in the United States.

Of the recognition, American Coaster Enthusiasts says: "The 1923 coaster designed by Herb Schmeck and built by PTC will be official dedicated as an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark during Coaster Con 43 in June 2020."

How cool! Be sure to head over to Dorney and give it a ride soon.
