The First Snowfall Of The Season Is Officially On Its Way in Philly

Storm Brings Snow, Sleet, And High Winds To Mid Atlantic Region On Second Day of spring

Fall lasted about, what, two weeks, before winter basically arrived? It feels like it was just 70-80 degrees, and now it’s on the brink of freezing! And we’re talking about what many are dreading - SNOW!

NBC10 reports that come this Friday, the very first snowflakes of the season could be falling across Philadelphia as a “bitter cold snap” takes its hold across the region. This weekend is going to be a cold one — deep winter-like levels, especially come Saturday morning, where it’ll feel like 18 degrees. Yep, 18.

They report that as of right now, most neighborhoods will likely get rain, but there’s a chance of snow overnight Friday as temperatures drop rapidly. There likely won’t be *accumulating* snow if it does, but there could be slippery spots when the ground freezes, and temps drop a general 30 degrees in just a day.

And guess what? If there is no snow this week - don’t be sad - because they also report that there is chance of snow NEXT week as well with another system! Winter is not just coming... it's already here.
