It’s official - the Phillies have fired Gabe Kapler after only two seasons and the team’s recent 81-81 record this past season.
Kapler, who is 44 years old, has been the Phillies team manager for only two seasons and still had a year left in his current contract.
To say the least, Kapler was an interesting figure to the fans - a bit polarizing as many fans either loved him or hated him. After the Phils last game this season, Kepler said, “Expectations were high and we didn’t get the job done, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort.”
