Philly's Cadence Named Best New Restaurant By "Food & Wine"

Our city of Philadelphia is full of delicious food! Recently Zahav was named the best in the US, and now another Philly spot has gotten a great honor!

Have you been to Cadence? Well, the South Kensington BYOB was just named the "Best New Restaurant" by Food And Wine Magazine!

PhillyVoice says:

"Chefs Michael Fry, Samantha Kincaid and Jon Nodler opened Cadence in March 2018 at 161 W. Girard Ave. The restaurant serves new-American cuisine, with a focus on seasonal ingredients from the region, and has both à la carte options and a four-course menu, as well as a thoughtful nonalcoholic drink selection."

"Simple pleasures and serious food – for once, you don’t have to choose between them," is why Food and Wine gave them the top honor.

The magazine also says Cadence is a "feel-good restaurant" with "basic goodness that carries through in every exchange," and says "Both savory and sweet are handled with a masterful command of acid here."

Well, now I'm hungry and have a new place to try!

This wasn't the first time the new restaurant was highlighted either:
