On Thursday night, April 18th, Cage The Elephant chose Philadelphia & Radio 104.5 as the place they wanted to be to celebrate their new album "Social Cues," which came out at midnight that night. We had an incredible time celebrating with the band including a first listen of the album straight through & incredible live performance from the band (full set list below).
Before they ripped into their live we spoke about the new album including:
-how the title track of the album was the real "ah-ha" moment in the recording process
-the concept of "hiding" that pops up multiple times on the record
-how their live/unplugged album "Unpeeled" influence what ended up on this new album
-what Matt Shultz is obsessed with outside of music (spoiler alert: nothing)
Check out video of our full conversation below, and don't miss Cage The Elephant with Beck & Spoon at BB&T Pavilion this summer on August 21st. TICKETS/MORE SHOW INFO
