Confirmed: The Cure's first new album in a decade is complete!

It's been over a decade since The Cure's last album - they released 4:13 dream back in the fall of 2008 - but Robert Smith just confirmed that a new album is complete! Done! Finished! Ready for our ears.

He broke the news during a recent interview saying "...we’ve just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years.”

We don't have any concrete details in terms of when to expect that we'll hear new music, but I'm just going to enjoy this piece of good news knowing that solid information can't be too far behind.

The band is headlining Glastonbury this summer, along with a handful of other European festivals - here's hoping a North American tour announcement isn't too far off.
