Winter Weather Advisory for Philly region

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. We can expect a mix of sleet and snow throughout the day before turning to rain this evening, steady at times. Rain should end early tomorrow with a high in the mid 40s.

This is par of a system which is impacting the entire eastern U.S., including over 80 million people from Arkansas to Maine. Areas, such as St. Louis, may see up to 6 inches, while West Virginia is preparing for a dangerous ice storm.  Get the official word from National Weather Service below

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations   up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
* WHERE...Parts of southern New Jersey, southeastern   Pennsylvania, northeastern Maryland and northern Delaware.
* WHEN...This morning into early this afternoon. The leading edge   of the mixed precipitation is expected to progress slowly   northward through the region during the morning hours.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect slippery road conditions, which may   affect part of the morning commute.
