This morning, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the nominees for induction into the Hall for 2019, including Radiohead, The Cure, Rage Against The Machine, Def Leppard, Devo, Janet Jackson, John Prine, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, MC5, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, Todd Rundgren, Rufus & Chaka Kahn and the Zombies. The Induction Ceremony will be held on March 29, 2019 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Inductees will be announced in December.
9 of the 15 artists have been nominated before, including LL Cool J and Kraftwerk who have been nominated four times before each, along with the Zombies who have been nominated 3 times previously
First-time nominees include Radiohead, The Cure, Rage Against The Machine, Def Leppard, the solo work of Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks, Devo, Roxy Music, John Prine and Todd Rundgren.
And, in case you're wondering, Dave Matthews Band, OutKast, Beck, The Fugees, Jeff Buckley, Philly's own The Roots, and Snoop Dogg were eligible, but not included in this year's nominees.
