St. Vincent has announced a new album, 'Masseducation', featuring stripped stripped down versions of her acclaimed 2017 album, 'Masseduction' (produced by Jack Antonoff!). This follows a recent sharing of an alternative take of her song 'Slow Disco' along with the release of a new version of 'Savior'.
St. Vincent announced the release to fans following an intimate piano-and-voice only set with pianist Thomas Bartlett in Los Angeles; upon exiting venue, guests were given copies of the new music along with a hand-written letter which has since been posted on Twitter (below). According to the letter, "Thomas Bartlett and I performed these songs over two days in a studio in midtown Manhattan, August 2017. We neither rehearsed nor spoke about how to approach any song, but rather played 203 live takes, picked the best one, and trusted the spirit of the moment."
'MassEducation' will be released on October 12th
