Philly's favorite sandwich just got a little..."grittier."
While last week we were a little hesitant about the Flyers new mascot, Gritty, it looks like now we're all on board! AND now our new favorite mascot has a cheesesteak named after him!
Yup...beloved steak sandwich spot Joe’s Steaks & Soda Shop has created the new sandwich called...wait for it..."Gettin' Gritty Wit It." Hah!
So what makes this sandwich a little different than the usual? Well, it doesn't just have the steak and whiz. In addition it's also got french fries and Cheetos (which make it orange like Gritty)!
Sound like something you'd like to try? Both Joe's locations (6030 Torresdale Ave. and 1 W. Girard Ave) will start selling the sandwich on Tuesday, Oct. 9, the date of the Flyers’ season home opener. You can continue to get it during every game, home or away, for $9.25.
