Philly's newest venue, The Met, to announce initial series of shows today

posted by @Radio1045Johnny -

Philly is getting a brand new (old) venue .... The Met Philly will be announcing their initial series of shows today around 12 noon.

For those of you unfamiliar, The Met is  a nearly 4000 square foot theater located at 858 North Broad and is actually the renovated Metropolitan Opera House, built (in 1908) by Oscar Hammerstein to become the home of his then new Opera company, but has been vacant for many years. The facility was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Live Nation will run the venue and describes it as "a fusion of signature entertainment, remarkable food, and unparalleled VIP guest experiences."

Expect at least one big Radio 104 5 show as part of the announcement and I will be at the press conference and we will pass along info to you as soon as we can!
