The Madden brothers are back! Good Charlotte just announced they'll return with a new album on September 14th, 2018 called "Generation Rx." They've also shared the first song from the album, called "Actual Pain." In a statement the band tells us the song is inspired by the overdose of rapper Lil Peep and the opioid crisis:
"At the beginning of the year, we were reflecting a lot. We just played a memorial service in honor of Lil Peep. We were thinking of that. Our generation was the first to have so many ways to deal with pain. Throughout this century, we’ve seen the whole opioid crisis get worse. We wondered if we were really doing our part. We wanted to get back out there on the battlefield and spread insight, share experience, and give anything we could to improve lives."
I'm seeing a bunch of comments on the internet saying it sounds a lot like Linkin Park, and I can't say I disagree. Take a listen and let us know what you think.
